One of the really lovely things about running an indie publishing house at ShadowScript Publications is that we get to play a crucial role in promoting local authors and bring their work to the wider world. Smaller publishing houses such as ours in Coralstown, and Book Hub Publishing in Galway, can focus on niche genres and emerging voices, providing a platform for writers who may not get the opportunity to be published by larger, mainstream publishing companies. In fact, we've acted as a conduit of sorts between the indie and traditional houses on several occasions over the years.

We meet our authors for coffee and chat to them face to face in the real world in real time. There is nothing like genuine human interaction despite all the technology we have.
